Maria A Ramos, CMP, Director of Meetings and Events, is a seasoned association management and events executive with more than 25 years of experience leading complex conferences, trade shows, and strategic meetings for professional and trade associations. Throughout her career, she has overseen events ranging from intimate leadership meetings to conventions and expositions attracting tens of thousands of attendees.

As a Director, Maria provides strategic leadership for meeting and event operations, guiding multidisciplinary teams in the planning and execution of conferences, exhibitions, and educational programs. She partners with association clients, volunteer leaders, and stakeholders to develop event strategies that align with organizational goals, enhance attendee engagement, and drive financial performance. Her expertise spans event budgeting and financial management, program development, exhibitor and sponsor relations, venue sourcing and negotiations, operational logistics, risk management, and accessibility planning.

Maria oversees the development and implementation of processes, technology solutions, and project management frameworks that improve efficiency and deliver measurable results. She has extensive experience leading volunteer committees and boards, managing abstract and speaker programs, directing content strategy, and leveraging data analytics to support informed decision making and continuous improvement. An early adopter of artificial intelligence and event technology, she has developed innovative tools and resources that enhance team productivity and elevate client service.

Her accomplishments have been recognized by the Philadelphia Area Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (PAMPI), where she was named Meeting Planner of the Year. Maria also served on the PAMPI Board of Directors as Vice President of Education from 2009 to 2011, helping shape professional development opportunities for industry colleagues.

Maria earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Roger Williams University where she concentrated in Marketing and Business Management. She earned her certified meeting professional designation in 2007. Maria’s background in meeting management has earned her accolades from the Philadelphia Area Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (PAMPI) as meeting planner of the year. She also served on the board of directors as Vice President of Education for PAMPI.

A servant leader in her community and network, Maria, herself, has held several volunteer roles throughout the years as a member of several non-profit organizations. In her spare time, she can be found on the ballroom dance floor or exploring the world by sailing the high seas. Born and raised in Southern New Jersey, Maria is also known as the resident ‘dance mom’ to her daughter, Jacquelyn, and ‘tri-wife’ to her triathlete husband, Ron.
